Achievements to date
We are focused on the whole community to ensure that all elements are catered for. Take a look at 5 things the project has achieved so far.
• Supported 2000 people with fresh, clean drinking water for £200. That is equal to just 10p per person for at least a year.
• Provided an emergency fund to enable 2000 local villagers to access transportation in the event of ill health. Also implemented a structure for helping them to maintain this fund.
• Agricultural equipment, hoes, shovels, rakes to assist the local people with essential resources for the rainy season. This it the time when these resources are most needed to work hard in the land, providing the villagers’ income for the nine months to come.
• Books, pencils, notebooks and other resources for the school, therefore reducing the demand made on families, allowing them to focus on food.
• A donkey for the school. With a strong focus on agriculture, the children will be encouraged to look after the donkey as well as use it to assist with the farming.
